The National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has announced recruitment for highly skilled technical positions through Advertisement Number 03/2026. The current recruitment aims to fill 13 positions for Junior Technical Officer and Senior Technical Officer posts to support ongoing research projects and laboratory operations. The institute conducts research in areas such as stem cell biology, transgenic animals, reproductive biotechnology, vaccine development, disease diagnostics, and molecular biology. Technical Officers recruited will work closely with principal investigators and research scientists, providing crucial technical support in conducting experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, handling biological samples, data collection and analysis, and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and biosafety protocols. The recruitment offers two distinct positions - Junior Technical Officer under Level-6 of 7th Central Pay Commission with a maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 48,100 per month, and Senior Technical Officer under Level-7 with a maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 54,600 per month. Both positions are on a consolidated pay basis for an initial contract period.
